The
North East Health Region comprises the Parishes of St.
Ann, St. Mary and Portland
with a geographical extension of 1,018.2 miles²
(2,637. 1 Km²) and a total estimated population of
356,000. This constitutes 13.7% of the general population and makes
it the smallest of the four health regions in Jamaica
(Table 1).
